Funeral services for Mrs. Aline Shoemake Whitaker,   87,
of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will  be  held at 1 P.M. on Saturday,
July 25, 2009, at  Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home
in  Gainesboro,  TN.   Burial  will  follow  in  the  Curry’s  Chapel
Cemetery in the Nameless community of Jackson County, TN.

The  family  will  receive  friends  on  Friday  from  12 Noon – 8
P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services.

Mrs. Whitaker passed away on Wednesday,  July  22,  2009, at
Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
   
She was born July 27, 1921,  in  Jackson  County, TN, to the
late
Benton  and  Tennie May Goolsby Shoemake Flatt. On
August 6, 1943, she was  married  to  the  late  
Paul Whitaker,
who  passed  away  April  4, 1996.   She   was   the   owner    of
Whitaker’s Slaughter House,   and   a   member  of  the  Center
Grove Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband and parents,  she  was  preceded in
death by
1  Brother:  Milbern Shoemake;   and   2   Sisters:
Jewell Dean Brown and JoAnn Profitt.

Survivors include
1 Sister:  Margurite Sadler of McMinnville,
TN; and
1  Sister-in-law:  Marie Shoemake of Gainesboro, TN.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
