
Graveside services for Mrs. Anne Maddux Meadows, 79,
of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday,
July 11, 2011, at the Granville Cemetery in Granville, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on
Sunday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., and on Monday from 11 A.M.
until time to leave for the cemetery.
She passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011, at Mabry Health
Care Center in Gainesboro, TN.
She was born June 17, 1932, in Jackson County, TN, to the
late Guy R. Maddux and Ruth McDonald Maddux. On
September 12, 1953, she was married to the late Jack Lyons
Meadows, who passed away February 12, 2011. She was a
retired school teacher, and a member of the Jackson County
Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of the
Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded
in death by 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Donald Redmond
Maddux and Jean Draper Maddux; and 1 Nephew: Donald
Draper Maddux.
Survivors include 1 Son: John (Stacey) Meadows of Mt.
Juliet, TN; 1 Daughter: Laura (Robert) Qualls of Nashville, TN;
1 Granddaughter: Katherine Elizabeth Qualls of Knoxville, TN;
1 Niece: Jeannette (Mike) Turner of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Great
Niece: Jennifer Brown of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Great Great
Niece: Delaney Brown; and 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law:
Thomas (Maxine) Meadows of Louisville, KY. Several nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.
