
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Ann Meadows Flatt, 93,
of Hendersonville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on
Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland
Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the
Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson
County, TN.
The family will receive friends on Monday at Hendersonville
Memory Gardens and Funeral Home from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M. On
Tuesday, the family will receive friends at Anderson – Upper
Cumberland Funeral Home from 2 P.M. – 8 P.M., and on
Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of services.
She passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Alive Hospice
at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, TN.
She was born July 5, 1918, in Jackson County, TN, to the
late Johnnie Wesley Meadows and Lillie Jane Gipson
Meadows. On May 10, 1943, she was married to the late
Garner C. Flatt, who passed away October 9, 2001. She was a
homemaker, and a member of the Hendersonville Church of
Christ. She was also a member of the One Heart Group at
Christian Manor, Hendersonville, TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded
in death by 1 Sister: Bertha Meadows Haile; and 1 Brother:
Dewey Meadows.
Survivors include 2 Daughters: Peggy Ann and Ralph E.
Morgan, and Barbara Jean and Thomas L. Weilbacher, all of
Hendersonville, TN; 1 Grandson: Jonathan Edward Morgan of
Hendersonville, TN; 1 Brother: Grover and Lucille Meadows of
Gainesboro, TN; 2 Special Nieces: Charlene Lane of White
House, TN, and Shirley and Denny Taylor of Toledo, OH. She is
also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bro. E.C. Meadows will officiate at the services.
