Funeral services for Mrs. Georgette Jamil Farran, 76, of
San Jose, California, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January
1, 2012, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial
will follow in the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery in the Union Hill
community of Jackson County.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8
P.M., and again on Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services.
She passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011, at the
San Tomas Convalescence Home.
She was born April 14, 1935, in Lebanon, to the late
Nicholas and Angela KaRouta Christophi. On December 26,
1950, she was married to the late Jamil K. Farran, who passed
away August 16, 1983. She was a homemaker. She lived in
Tennessee from 1983 until 1987, at which time she moved to
California. All 6 of her children graduated from Tennessee
Tech University.
Survivors include 5 Sons: Hany Farran, Emile Farran,
William Farran, Samir Farran, and Albert Farran; 1 Daughter:
Ghada Farran; 5 Grandchildren: Johnny, Ashley, James,
Christopher, and Nicole; and her Siblings: Nicolas, Gabby,
and Jeanette.
Bro. Arlon Way will officiate at the services.
