Funeral services for Mr. Hollis D. Biggs, 71, of Gainesboro,
Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, December 27,
2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will
follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of
Jackson County, TN.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon – 9 P.
M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services.
He passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the
Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN.
He was born December 18, 1940 in Jackson County, TN, to
the late Jim and Nina Allen Biggs. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam era. He worked for General Motors in
Toledo, Ohio for 30 years and was affiliated with the Church of
Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4
Brothers: Jim, Jr., Mack, Roy, and Douglas Biggs; and 3
Sisters: Christine Hamlet, Loretta Biggs, and Catherine Biggs.
Survivors include; 3 Sons: Michael (Ami) Biggs of Toledo,
OH, Shawn (Melissa) Biggs of Greenville, IN, and Christopher
(Shannon) Biggs of Toledo OH; 1 Daughter: Angela (Tom)
Heath of Toledo, OH; 1 Brother: Eugene Biggs of
Temperance, MI; 1 Sister: Sue Biggs of Gainesboro, TN;
1 Special Niece: Jaedyn Stafford, and 6 Grandchildren.
Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
