Funeral services for Mr. Hollis Ray Martin, 74, of
Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on
Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland
Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the
Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 P.M. – 9
P.M., Wednesday from 11 A.M. – 9 P.M., and on Thursday from
9 A.M. until time of services.
He passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011, at his
residence.
He was born March 5, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the
late Lewis Martin, Sr. and Mary Belle Mayberry Martin. On
September 28, 1957, he was married to Doris Schleeter
Martin, who survives. He was a retired mechanic who worked
for the Jackson County Highway Department. He was a member
of the Center Grove Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1
Son: Ricky Terry Martin; 3 Sisters: Aline Chaffin, Ida Spurlock,
and Mary Jean Mabry; and 1 Brother: Billy H. Martin.
Survivors include his Wife: Doris Schleeter Martin of
Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Son: Ronnie and wife, Vanessa
Martin of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Daughter: Debbie Martin
of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Ashley Krischel
of Aurora, CO; Joshua Dale Martin and Jacob Andrew Martin,
both of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Brother: Lewis (Agnes)
Martin, Jr., of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Reba (Charles)
Hopkins of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Clella Martin
of Gainesboro, TN.
Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. John Mabery will officiate at
the services.
