Funeral    services    for    Mr.    Marlin    Goolsby,   72,  of
Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M.  on  Wednesday,
May 16, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home
in Gainesboro, TN.   Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery  in
the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN.

The family will receive friends on  Tuesday  from  5 – 9 P.M.,
and on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services.

Mr. Goolsby passed away on Monday, May 14, 2007, at  his
residence in Gainesboro, TN.

He   was   born   September   20,   1934,   in   Clay   County,
Tennessee,  to  the  late  
Champ   Ferguson   Goolsby    and
Pearlie  Boles  Goolsby.    He   was   married   to    Emogene
Goolsby
,   who   survives.     He   was   the   former   owner  of  
Marlin’s Restaurant   and   School Drive-In.   Mr. Goolsby was a
member of the  Gainesboro  First  Baptist  Church,  and  served
in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he  was  preceded  in  death  by

Anna Lee Forkum;  1 Son-in-law:  David Lee
Forkum;  
1 Sister-in-law:  Tootsie Goolsby;   and   1 Nephew:
Dwight Goolsby.

Survivors    include    
his    Wife:    Emogene    Goolsby    of
Gainesboro, TN;
2 Daughters:  Lisa and her husband, Michael
Ragland and Lori Forkum and Chris Heady,   all of Gainesboro,
TN;    
5    Grandchildren:    Dusty   and   Lacy Ragland,  Kayla
Roberts,   Sara  and Lee Forkum;   
2   Brothers:   Clifton   and
Wilma Goolsby and Kenneth Goolsby all of Gainesboro, TN;

Sister:
    Vickey     and    her    husband,   Jimmie    Apple     of
Gainesboro, TN;
1 Step-son: Donnie Harper   of     Gainesboro
TN;  
3   Step-Grandchildren;  3 Step- Great Grandchildren;
and  
1 Step- Great-Great Grandchild.

Bro. Jason Lewis and  Bro. Jimmy Anderson  will  officiate  at
the services.
