Funeral services for Randale “Randy” Louis Birdwell, 45,
of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday,
September 27, 2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral
Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill –
Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Hwy. in Jackson County, TN.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. – 9
P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
He passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at
Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
He was born April 2, 1966, in Jackson County, TN, to James
Boyd Birdwell and the late Minnie Loudell Loftis Birdwell
Bumbalough. On December 22, 1998, he was married to
Vickie Lynn Hargis Birdwell, who survives. He was a shipping
supervisor at Colonial Molding Art and Frame Outlet in
Cookeville, TN. He was a member of the Knights Chapel
Freewill Baptist Church and a Mason – Lodge #266.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his
Maternal Grandparents: Cordell and Norma C. Loftis; and his
Paternal Grandparents: Odes and Velma Birdwell.
Survivors include his Wife: Vickie Lynn Hargis Birdwell of
Cookeville, TN; his Father: James Boyd Birdwell of Somerset,
KY; 2 Sisters: Freda (Billy) Hammock of Bloomington Springs,
TN, and Velma (Michael) Hampton of London, KY; and Special
Nieces and Nephews: Blake (Leia) Madewell, Courtney and
Ayla; Barry (Beth) Hammock and Brycen; Noah and Luke
Hampton; Kerigan Bess Hargis; and Amie Hargis.
Pastor Mike Gillock will officiate at the services.
