Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Minchey Howell, age  91, a
resident of Gainesboro, TN,  will  be held Sunday at 2 P.M. at
Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home   in  Gainesboro,
TN.   Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in
the Stone community of Jackson County, TN.  

The  family  will  receive  friends  on  Friday  from   6  P.M.  – 9
P.M.,  Saturday  from  2  P.M.  –  9  P.M.,   and   Sunday  from
11 A.M. until time of services.

Mrs. Howell passed away on Friday,  February  22,  2008, at
Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center in Gainesboro, TN.
 
She was born June 13, 1916, in Jackson County, TN, to   the
late  
Wint  and  Maggie Halliburton Minchey. On September
1, 1935, she was married to the late
Clester Mell Howell, who
passed away April 7, 1992.

She   was   a   homemaker,  and  a member of the Church of
Christ,  attending  at  the  Center Grove  and Richmond Chapel
Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband and parents,  she  was  preceded in  
death  by  
1  Son:  Jimmy R. Howell;   5   Brothers:   Walter,
Vervie, Eldon, Herman, and Earl Minchey; and
5  Sisters: Alma
Brown,   Lena Hewitt,   Zelma Minchey,  Odell Spivey, and Flora
Denton.

Survivors   include  
4 Sons and 5 Daughters-in-Law: W.C.
(Moline) Howell,   Larry (Elizabeth) Howell,   and   Bruce (Cathy)
Howell,   all   of   Gainesboro,   TN;   Wayne  (Linda)  Howell   of
Rickman, TN; and Carole Howell of Livingston, TN;
1 Daughter:
Shirley (Robert) Smith of Gainesboro, TN;  
11 Grandchildren:  
Teresa Reed, Wayne Howell, Heather Bean,  Melissa Robinson,
Jackie  Ray,    Jennifer  Phillips,    Jason  Smith,   Brandy  Berta,
Brandon Howell, Kelly Mullins, and Christie Loza; and
18 Great-
Grandchildren.
Other relatives and friends also survive.

Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. John Mabery  will  officiate  at
the services.
