Betty Ransom Preis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Betty L. Ransom Preis, 82, of Cookeville, TN, will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at her residence. She was born March 31, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James Ray Ransom and Mattie Lena Mayberry Ransom. She was married to William Lawrence Preis, who survives. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her Husband: William Lawrence Preis of Delaware; 3 Daughters: Vickie Jo Smith Kimball of Greenbrier, TN, Jodi Michelle Preis of Gainesboro, TN, and Kim LaRocque of Highlands Ranch, CO; 1 Brother: James “Chick” Ransom of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sisters: Wanda Rodriguez of Cookeville, TN, Glenda Wishard of Gainesboro, TN, and Debbie Herrin of Gainesboro, TN; Grandchildren: Justin Kimball and Staci Kimball, both of Greenbrier, TN, and Andre LaRocque of Highlands Ranch, CO; and Great Grandchildren: Kimber and Kinsley. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
