Delma Haney Mayberry

April 10, 1937 - February 21, 2022

Delma Haney Mayberry was born April 10, 1937, in Overton County, TN, and she passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN, at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Isaac Seth Haney and Mary Belle Poston Haney. On July 29, 1955, she was married to Charles E. Mayberry, who passed away February 11, 2022. She was a housewife, and a resident of the Dodson Branch community. She also attended the Post Oak Shade Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Step Mother: Lillie Harris Haney; Brothers: Garland Haney and Fred Haney; Sisters: Gladys Pauline Haney and Lula Mae Young; and Step Brother: Earl Harris. Survivors include her Son: Charles R. (Cindy Johns) Mayberry of Alpine, TN; Daughters: Shelia (Tony) Steel of Cookeville, TN, and Robin (Doug) Hawkins of Cookeville, TN; Brother: Richard Lester Haney of Ohio; Sister: Veachel Dean Pond of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Adam (Jammie) Hunter, Wendi (Mark) Borden, Paul (Keisha) Steel, Lydia (Brad) Thornton, Seth Wylie, Nathan Wylie, Brittany (John) Allison, Courtney (Jessie) Basham, Doug Wayne Hawkins; Great Grandchildren: Sarah Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Ava Borden, Nora Borden, Cade Borden, Levi Steel, Luna Steel, Soul Steel, Katana Steel, Kalel Steel, Bayleigh Hawkins, Douglas Hawkins, Braden Hawkins, Lainey Hawkins, Remi Hawkins, Alexa Allison, Spencer Allison, Skyler Stewart, Aria Estes, Kenzie and Eli Heady; hosts of nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at the Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at 12 Noon at the Dodson Branch Cemetery with Bro. Clayton Lee officiating. Memorials may be made to the Dodson Branch Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
