Funeral services for Glenous Haney, 84, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery on Seven Knobs Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 A.M. – 8 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at his residence. He was born January 9, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Johnny Whad Haney and Lizzie Jane Chaffin Haney. On May 5, 1956, he was married to Lorene Haney, who survives. He was a carpenter, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Dale Haney; 3 Brothers: Gene Haney, Hulon Haney, and Bobby Haney; and 2 Sisters: Louise Vickers and Doylene Rodgers. Survivors include his Wife: Lorene Haney of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Debbie (David) Wilson of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Denise (David) Martin of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: David “Cobb” Haney of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Ida (Colonel) Wheeler of Cookeville, TN, and AV Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jayson Haney, Amy Polston, and Alyson (Paul) Duke; 2 Great Grandchildren: Carter Haney and Bryson Haney, both of Cookeville, TN; and 2 Special Brothers in Law: Roy Flatt and Thurel Flatt. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
