Funeral services for Mr. Henry Howard "Hank" Jakob, 76, of Nashville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, September 17 at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Union - Hill Flatt Cemetery in the Union Hill community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Jakob passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in Nashville, TN. He was born January 3, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York to the late H.H. & Lydia Elizabeth Jakob. On June 29, 1957, he was married to the former Emogene Way, whom he met at the Church of Christ in Bethpage, New York. Mr. Jakob was a salesman for a leading manufacturing company in New York City. He was a sales representative for Marshall & Bruce Printing Company in Nashville, TN. He was a member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ, and served in the U.S. Army for 12 years during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sister: Florence and Brother: George. Survivors include his wife: Emogene Way Jakob of Nashville, TN; 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Jeanette and Luther Henderson of Hermitage, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Christopher Bryant, Jonathan Michael, David Howard, and Ashleigh Brook; Nephews: Kenneth (Janice) Buck of Boca Raton, FL; and George Jakob, Jr. of New York; 3 Nieces: Claire (Bob) Lopel of Fairport, AL; Susan and Elaine of New York; 1 Great-Niece: Lorie; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Joe (Aline) Way of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Leamon Flatt, Bro. Don Flatt, Bro. Bill Flatt, and Bro. Arlon Way will officiate at the services.
