Mary Katherine Rector Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Katherine Rector, 77, of Cookeville, TN, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Friday, June 18, 2021, at her residence in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. She was born July 30, 1943, in Cookeville, TN, to the late Cortez Greenwood and Henrietta Hembree Greenwood. On June 29, 1962, she was married to Gary Dale Rector, who survives. She was a former employee of Acme Boot Company and retired as an administrative assistant with the State of Tennessee, Division of Property Assessments, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. Survivors include her Husband: Gary Dale Rector of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Greg & Cynthia Rector of Cookeville, TN; and 2 Grandchildren: Preston Rector and Dakota Rector, both of Cookeville, TN. Additional survivors include her cousins, other family members, her church family and friends. Special thanks to Marilyn Dixon RN at Kindred Hospice for her loving care and support.
